COVID-19 Update

It's July 2023, which means it's been three years since Sage Bodywork re-opened after the start of the coronavirus pandemic. For three years we've done massage in a face mask. In light of the increasing success in preventing and treating COVID-19 infections, we're updating our policies.

In April of this year, Washington State officially lifted the Face Mask Mandate that was affecting healthcare spaces (including massage offices). This means that face masks are not longer required.

At Sage Bodywork, we value health and safety above all else, and we recognize we have many immunocompromised people passing through our space. At the same time, we recognize the importance of being comfortable and able to breathe easily during your massage.

As a result, here are our current safety precautions to prevent the spread of disease:

  • Face masks are OPTIONAL but encouraged (for both the massage therapist and the client)

  • Extra face masks are available if you need one

  • We run a window fan and air purifier 24/7 to keep the air clean

  • We sanitize all surfaces in-between appointments, and allow for 30 minutes in-between appointments so that the sanitizer has time to work and the air can turn over

If you have any concerns, please send us a message at SageBodyworkSeattle@gmail.com and we're happy to discuss with you.

If you want your massage therapist to wear a face mask during your appointment, we are happy to do so. Please send us a message in advance and we'll be sure to be wearing a face mask when you arrive.

As always, we will monitor the number of cases locally and will adjust our safety precautions as needed.

Thank you and stay safe.
